Begonia 'Albopicta'
The most striking feature of Begonia albopicta is its elegant, wing-shaped leaves adorned with silvery-white spots, creating a beautiful contrast against the deep green foliage. These dotted leaves have a slightly glossy texture, catching the light and adding a delicate shimmer. The plant’s arching stems produce clusters of soft pink flowers, which complement the foliage perfectly and add to its graceful appearance. Thrives best in a warm, humid environment, away from cold draughts.

- Useful to know: Safe handling recommended; sap may irritate skin. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

Light: Needs bright but indirect light, and ideally kept in temperatures above 15°c. Leaf colour will vary depending on light conditions
Water: Water regularly and keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Allow excess water to drain off
Soil/Nutrition: Well-draining houseplant potting mix, feed monthly in spring and summer
Humidity: Enjoys regular misting, or a pebble tray to keep its environment humid
Pruning and propagation: Remove old, faded leaves and flowers, and keep leaves dust free. Can be propagated by stem cuttings in spring and summer
