Delivery Information
We aim to pick, pack and despatch your order as soon as possible once we receive it. We have different delivery arrangements which are tailored to the suitability of the products ordered:
- National orders are shipped via a courier for express delivery. We only dispatch plants on certain days to ensure that they spend the least amount of time possible in transit and reach you in the best possible condition.
- Certain items will only be available for local delivery due to their size or unsuitability for third party services. Once your order has been placed we will contact you to arrange delivery via our own delivery service.
- Gift vouchers and small items such as seed packets are sent out via Royal Mail’s Signed for 1st Class service.
The majority of our national delivery options fall under the options below. Certain oversized or age restricted items carry an additional delivery charge, however this will be clearly displayed in your basket before checkout.
Tracked Delivery (Express) - £6.99
Zone 1 - England, Wales & Scotland (excluding Highlands & Islands)
- Orders are dispatched within two working days
- Parcels are sent via DX or Parcelforce on a next day service, requiring a signature on delivery or safe place instructions
- Fully tracked from door to door with text or email notifications along the way to keep you informed
- 2 hour time slot notification

Zone 2 – Highlands & Islands of Scotland

- Tracking code provided on dispatch. Email or SMS notification on day of delivery

- Please expect 2-4 days for delivery

Parcel Tracking
Your order will be sent using a tracked service, providing us with some information on the parcel's status, location and route. It also allows us to provide you with the same information. Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email (please check spam/junk email folders) with a tracking code and instructions on how this information can be retrieved.
Delivery - Local
This product is only available for local delivery to the postcodes below via our own delivery service. We will contact you to arrange delivery, which will be within 7 days of your order being placed.

Delivery - Vouchers & Small Items
These products will be posted via the Royal Mail Signed-For delivery service and is fully trackable. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery. Cost £3.35
Gift Vouchers: We can send your gift vouchers directly to their recipient - simply select the option during checkout and enter a message in the order notes which we will write inside the card.

Free Delivery within Mainland England and Wales - Postcodes AB, HS, IV, KW & PH in Scotland, and PL, TQ & TR in Devon & Cornwall carry a supplement charge of £40 including VAT.
Delivery Period
Delivery will typically be made within 7-10 working days during Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. Altico will contact you via phone to arrange delivery. Once delivery has been arranged, if no one is available to provide a signature when delivery is being attempted, the order will be taken back to the depot and re delivered on another day – this will result in you being charged for the re delivery which is to be paid direct to the carrier. Any cancellations once the order has been despatched will incur a delivery charge plus a return to base charge.
Vehicles We Use
Delivery is made using a tail lift vehicle. This means the delivery point must be smooth and level with no slopes, and access must also be large enough to accept a heavy goods vehicle.
Unloading Of Your Delivery
Due to the nature of this product, delivery will be made to the front of the property to the nearest location. Drivers cannot carry the product inside your home or back garden. We can only deliver to the nearest kerbside or hard standing ground, and cannot leave the goods on a pavement or public road. The wooden pallet and bulk bag will be left with you to unload the aggregate at your own convenience, and will not be returnable when emptied.
