Daphne bholua ‘Jacqueline Postill’ a well-known Hillier introduction, has been in short supply over the years, but now through the wonders of micro propagation we are very pleased to announce that we have small quantities available for sale available from March 25th 2017.
The plants are produced in a 10.5cm pot as opposed to traditional 1.5L. The reason for the change is this young vigorous tissue cultured plant will establish quickly once planted in your garden.
Our expert growers advise the gardener to plant immediately upon purchase in any reasonably well drained soil in full sun or part shade; avoiding the young plant being crowded by its neighbours. Having being planted, it may need a little extra water whilst it establishes, but by the beginning of next Spring 2018 a quick pinch of the terminal bud will help develop branching which will bring flower the following winter. Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill' produces clusters of pretty, intensely fragrant flowers which are pink on the outside and white within.
