What better plant to choose for Valentine’s Day, than Primula Valentine with its intensely deep red colour and romantic ruffles.
The Primula is a herald of spring; after a long winter, they are one of the first perennials to bloom in the garden in February anticipating spring days that are just around the corner.
Treasured by horticulturalists since Elizabethan times, Primulas are very pretty plants. They may look delicate but the Belarina series are tough little plants proving to be quite reliable in the garden. Long flowering and prolific until May they continue thereafter with flushes throughout summer. Their fully double rosettes have a delicate fragrance and come in a range of delicious colours.
