Prunus spinosa
Prunus spinosa is a deciduous, spiny shrub, native to the UK. Useful for making an informal hedge, with white flowers in spring and purple sloe berries in autumn. Ideal for wildlife, with flowers for pollinators, berries for birds and mammals, and thorns to protect nesting birds.
