Mahonia eurbracteata subsp. ganpinensis 'Meteor'
Mahonia 'Meteor' is a compact, evergreen shrub known for its elegant, finely divided, and leathery dark green foliage. The leaves form an arching habit, giving the plant a graceful appearance year-round. The unique foliage of this plant is truly captivating, with vibrant red young leaves emerging in spring and summer. As the seasons progress, these striking red tones gradually mature into a rich, deep green, offering a dynamic and ever-changing display throughout the year.
This mahonia cultivar is particularly valued for its vibrant, fragrant, yellow flowers that bloom in dense, upright racemes during autumn and early winter. The flowers are followed by clusters of bluish-black berries that attract birds, adding seasonal interest.
