Erica arborea var. alpina f. aureifolia 'African Gold'
'African Gold' is an upgright, medium sized evergreen shrub featuring soft golden green foliage, and small white flowers early in the year. Known as the 'Winter Heath' or 'Alpine Heath', and originating from the European Alps it is used to high altitudes and very cold temperatures. It will grow as happily on soils containing lime, or any well draining fertile soil. All heathers have fibrous roots and these dislike compaction.
