Eranthis hyemalis provides lots of welcome late winter flowers just above short rosettes of fresh green leaves, to brighten up any garden. It is hardy and perennial, and eventually forming a reasonable clump. Summer dormant, it can be planted near late-emerging, short-growing perennials.
